Meeting Denis Tixier: Exploring Everywhere with SWINCAR, an Electric Vehicle for Persons with Reduced Mobility (PMR).

Perhaps even more so in the past decade since a neurodegenerative disease took away the mobility of his legs, arms, and body. But Denis is a fighter. So, in 2020, when he came across the viral video of the electric spider while searching for an all-terrain wheelchair, he didn't hesitate for a second.

He reached out to the SWINCAR team and even traveled to Allan (26) to meet Pascal Rambaud, the creator of the all-terrain electric quadricycle, and to test it. For Denis, it was love at first sight: he had tried adapted devices before, but never with such power and comfort. Adjustments were needed to make the model suitable for his disability. In 2020, he purchased his e-Spider mobility, and since then, he has been exploring the forests and mountains of Bourbonnais.

In three years, he has already covered more than 15,000 km in his electric buggy. What he loves about this product is that it allows him to move anywhere, even on the road, as the vehicle is approved. Behind the wheel of his vehicle, Denis can regain his freedom and autonomy. The SWINCAR adventure has also allowed him to make beautiful connections: he regularly goes hiking in the Vosges, Lozère, and other regions of France with fellow enthusiasts of the concept.
